Mr. Eric Major

Eric Major has more than 20 years of experience in the spinal device industry, having most recently served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of K2M. Eric co-founded K2M in 2004 and was a member of the Board of Directors for 14 years. Prior to K2M, he co-founded and was President and Chief Executive Officer of American OsteoMedix Corporation (AOM), a minimally invasive spinal device company that was acquired in 2001 by Interpore Cross International, a Zimmer Biomet company. Following the sale of AOM, Eric became President of the Minimally Invasive Division for Interpore Cross International, a position which he held until 2002. He has held numerous sales, marketing, strategy, and product development roles with various spinal device companies including Acromed Spine and Synthes Spine—now Johnson & Johnson companies.

Eric received the 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Emerging Technologies in Greater Washington, D.C.. He is a member of the AdvaMed CEO Advisory Council and sits on the Board of Directors of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association. He serves on the Loudoun Small Business Development Center Board of Directors, as well as the Board of Trustees for the Westmoreland Davis Foundation. Eric holds a BA degree from James Madison University (JMU) and is a member of the JMU College of Business Executive Advisory Council.
